Betty attended Texas State University and taught school for thirty-six years. She was blessed with a thirty-one year marriage to a Godly man who made her laugh out loud and two amazing children. After a three-year battle with cancer, he passed away in 2004. The next nine years were trying. God grew her in His word, and she emerged with a pure joy and peace that she had never experienced before. It was at this time in her life Betty was truly blessed again. God brought her a man who loves the Lord and brings her love, excitement and enriches her life daily.

Even though she struggled through difficult times, Betty never felt alone. With the desire to spread the amazing unmerited love God showed her, “High Heals Never Walk Alone” was formed. Betty wants women around the world to know, they too never have to walk alone.

Betty is a partner of High Heals Never Walk Alone/ A Day of Change.

Helen’s story was so over-the-top that Fox News carried the tale. Having survived an abusive marriage and a deceitful relationship, Helen knows a thing or two about deception. The Vow, Helen’s book, is not a bitter tale, but its chapters chronicle various sequences in her life path and the godly lessons learned along the way. It is true that people can entrust God to send them what they need most.

Helen’s career has spanned working with the elderly, the sick, the handicapped, and the dying through her assisted living cottages. She has been blessed with an invaluable staff.

Helen was born in an Iowa farming community and now lives in Houston, TX. She is the proud mother of two daughters, Jessica and Kelly; son-in-laws, Tom and Jacob; and proud “Mimi” of four grandchildren: Avery, Taylor, Braydon and Rylie Dawn. Helen loves to write, read, travel, dance and loves being outdoors. She loves music and working out. Helen also loves spending time with family, friends and her husband, Michael. Most of all, she loves the Lord with all her heart. Helen is a partner of High Heals Never Walk Alone/A Day of Change.
